I have recently been at a very interesting and stimulating workshop on the kinetic description of multiscale phenomena, held at the Center for Scientific Computation and Mathematical Modeling (CSCAMM), University of Maryland, College Park, where I gave a talk about quadrature-based moment methods for gas-particle flows.
College Park is not far from Washington DC. The time was limited, so I could visit only the National Gallery of Art, and look around from the car, but it was very nice! Some random pictures I took at the museum and around can be seen here.
